OEM Panel in Louisiana featuring U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy

On September 14, 2015, a diverse panel of energy leaders underscored the economic and manufacturing benefits of expanding markets for liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the U.S. and Louisiana economies during a panel discussion today in Louisiana. Led by U.S. Senator Dr. Bill Cassidy (R-Louisiana), member of the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, local elected officials and energy leaders explored the important role expanded LNG exports will play in local and national economic development.

U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) gives remarks on the benefits of increased LNG exports.

"Expanding LNG exports will create direct and indirect jobs in Louisiana and across the country," said U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. "There are billions of dollars of investments in LNG projects waiting for the president's approval. We should be moving policies forward that encourage energy investment, not discourage production. Let's leverage our natural resources as a way to grow jobs, improve our economy and help our allies overseas."
